Headscarves and the CJEU: Protecting fundamental rights or pandering to prejudice

This article examines the Opinion of AG Rantos in two cases concerning Islamic headscarves before CJEU and argues that this appears to give almost carte blanche (private) employers adopt neutrality policies their workplaces based on wishes customers. In doing so, allow pander prejudices customers push believers, especially Muslim women, even further out sight. It is argued affects not only employment opportunities, but also social inclusion people from groups vulnerable discrimination goes against founding values EU.
